US poker sites with freeroll programs.

Below is a list of all the US player sites I have found which offer freerolls.  They are listed in order from best to worst and are reviewed.  I am not affiliated with these sites.

#1 Bodog Poker.
This is the best freeroll poker site available to United States players.  They have two daily free 500$ tournaments, and one daily 1000$ dollar tournament.  They have a limit of 5000 players, which is usually only reached in the $1000 freeroll.  While you play you accumulate player points which can buy you into freerolls with fewer players.  Once you place in the money in these tournaments your goal should be the weekly $100,000 tournament.  You can enter $1 dollar tournaments which pay out $24 in tournament credits, which you may use to enter any tournament of your choice (win cash or tournament credits).  Once you have earned $110 tournament credits you can enter the $100,000 Sunday tournament.

#2 CakePoker.
These guys have very few players who enter their freerolls.  They don't usually have good freerolls but sometimes they surprise me.  $10,000 freeroll this Saturday (August 25, 2007).  So keep your eyes on these guys, you never know when they will offer a huge freeroll.

#3 Poker4Ever.
They are a small poker site and underestimated.  They have poker 100-300$ daily tournaments.  The secret to these guys, like cakepoker, is the low number of players who register for the freeroll tournaments (500-2000).  Also, if you acquire some player points, you can play in PP freerolls which generally have a very low number of people.

#4 Full Tilt Poker.
This site has a number of 100$ freerolls, but the interesting feature they have is 'bronze, silver, gold and iron man' freerolls.  You can enter these by playing a lot of poker on their site.  These freerolls have high prize pools (1-25 thousand) and few players.  They also offer many private freerolls.

#5 PokerStars
This site has many freerolls but only a certain amount are open to US players.  These typically are for $200 and fill up with 8000 players fast.  They should only be played for practice.  If you end up in the top 27 however, you advance to a 'weekly round 2' tournament which has few players and a $1000 prize pool.  They have quite a few private freerolls, I suggest you look into those.

#6 UltimateBet
Not a very exciting site.  Offers $50 freerolls which typically have 3500 players.  They do offer 'Aruba Qualifier' freerolls which qualify you into 'Aruba classic semifinal' which qualifies you for a very large paying tournament, but not really worth it IMO.

#7 Absolute Poker
I do not like this site, but I list it because it is available to US players.  They have freerolls with 2-4 thousand players and typically 60-100 dollar prize pools.  My main problem with this site is the pace the games play.  It takes a long time for the dealer to deal cards and such.  Tournaments take forever here, and you don't play as many hands.  They do have some private freerolls, though I would just avoid this site unless you want to play as much poker as possible.

After you have signed up (with bodog) you need to know tournament strategy.
