Poker Statistical Software and Bots
If you are playing poker competitively on the internet, you should be aware of different poker software. The first type of software I will tell you about is statistical software, and then bot software.
#1. Poker Statistical Software
You can download
Holdem Indicator, a software which tracks your statistics as well as your
opponent's statistics. It also shows you a display of your hand, your outs
and the % chance you have to win. This chance is calculated using and
advanced algorithm, taking into account the number of opponents you have and all
of their possible hands. This is a very nice program
#2. Poker Bot Software
The second type of software you need to know about is poker
bot software. This is software is not 'illegal' as in commits a felony
(Now I am not sure about this because you agree to some contract and it violates
the contract so...) but it is against all poker rooms rules.
Poker bots are players in poker games who are controlled by a computer.
They are very complicated and you can't simply go out and download one for free
or even buy one. The best publicly known poker bot is
WinHoldEm. You pay hundreds per
year with this bot and must program it yourself. This is no easy task, to
program a bot to play well enough to win cash. You should be able to win
cash games yourself before you could ever hope to program a bot to do so.
The reason I tell you about poker bots is so you know they are out there, calculating and winning money. This is another reason I don't play online cash games.
